Rescooping ... engagement is the outward manifestation of leadership and character in action.  It's not just about activity and excitement -- more importantly and more effective engagement is about inspiring participation and action in others.  If you are not engaging, then you are not leading. 

 

I'd also add one more ... asking people questions is a great way to engage.
