To Asra by Samuel Taylor Coleridge : The Poetry Foundation | The Romantics | Scoop.it
Are there two things, of all which men possess, / That are so like each other and so near, / As mutual Love seems like to Happiness? / Dear Asra, woman beyond utterance dear!
Tyra S's insight:

This is a samuel taylor coleridge poem called To Asra. I found it interesting how Coleridge fell in love with Sara Hutchinson, the sister of Wordsworth's future wife. This is a poem about her, where he referred to her by an anagram of her name, "Asra."

This BBC documentary is about the Romantic period and the poets that were involved, and how they influenced the veiws of the time. It is very interersting and informative - I was intrigued by having an image of the time, and not just reading about it. It was a great help to me in my studies
