For someone like me who is a long time fan of Nine Inch Nails hearing this news was very interesting. Having a new line up of already established artist was rather intriguing. Knowing Nine Inch Nails as a well established band with a distinct sound you can assume that with these artist joining that they are going into this knowing that Reznor is looking for a particular sound. Though like with any collaborative work every artist will bring their own insight and talent to the table. It will be interesting to see the result of this union and how well the new songs will work out in this live performance.

Pro: The collaboration of the artists could create something unique and unforgettable.

Con: With established musicians it would be easy for conflicting ideas to somewhat damage the final product.

In the world of live music there is few festivals as well known as Lollapalooza. With Nine Inch Nails returning to the spotlight, booking arenas, and plans of new studio albums we can be sure that we have a lot to look forward to in 2014. Though at this point they have already released their 8th studio album "Hesitation Marks" there is still the matter of their greatest hits album and whether or not it will include new material itself.

Nine Inch Nails has always been a very unique band with it's own industrial rock sound. To hear that it is being reinvented is just as intriguing as it is scary. They have carved out their own spot in the industry do to talent and creativity, however many other equally talented artists have tested new waters with disastrous results. Only time will tell how this change will work out.
