I selected this article from Curatti written by Michael Brenner because it explains how to improve your marketing ROI for more sales.

By measuring your results you can move toward a more profitable business online.

Solve Marketing ROI for Better Results

Many advertisers have dismal results when it comes to running an ad campaign. I agree that in order to attain your sales goals you need to first understand how to measure your results.

Brenner explains the first steps toward improving your marketing ROI.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Start by measuring the sales from your marketing campaigns minus the investment you put into them, and then dividing this number. This will give you insights on trade-offs of what works and what doesn't.

  • It's important to differentiate between ROI investments and financial statements. Find out whether you are including things like corporate expenses in your measurements.

  • Stick to the programs that you can measure. Digital content is something you can gather data on with proven results.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Shane Barker   because it explains the importance of being prepared for a successful product launch.

In a competitive online environment it's important for your goods to stand out to consumers.

Create a Successful Product Launch

Today's online market is highly competitive in an age of social media and reviews. I agree that businesses can gain more attention with the right focus and strategy in place.

Barker shows you how you can best present your products with a strategized approach.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • A lack of planning can place your product launch off to a bad start. You need to have a strategy in place early on that you can make adjustments with as you move forward.

  • Don't forget to include a marketing strategy in the process. During production this can be placed on the back burner or missed -- which can cause you to lose prospects.

  • Understand what problem your product solves for your audience. You do this through proper market research and identify the needs and desires of your community.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Patrick Foster
because it explains the difference between B2B and B2C in eCommerce.

It's important to know how and why customers interact on your business website.

The Difference Between Buyer Journeys and Customers

When building a business in the digital age you need to understand how your prospects are making purchasing decisions and why. I agree that both B2B and B2C play into eCommerce websites.

Foster explains what causes your customers to make a purchase and how to improve your approach.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • In B2B purchasing there is always a problem that needs to be solved within a business. Buyers in this situation want to look for the best deal and product or service for their employers.

  • A B2C website is usually aimed at capturing the reader's attention right away. The next step is to convince them to make a purchase.

  • It takes account management to make a B2B sale work along with relationship management. In B2C it's all about customer service and followup via email.

Sharma explains the basics of content planning that stands out to your community.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Look for previously published content to find at least 5 top keywords for your article. Recommended tools are ahrefs and Buzzsumo.

  • Define your topics early on and then brainstorm. Answer the where, what, why and how for your readers.

Avoid These 10 Business Email Errors

janlgordon's curator insight, January 17, 12:25 AM

I selected this article from Curatti written by Niraj Ranjan because it covers how to best approach your prospects.

Some phrases are outdated and inappropriate for business emails.

How to Communicate With Your Subscribers

It just takes a few words to lose the attention of a potential customer. I agree that in order to have more sales you should write your message in a way that is appealing and does not have a direct sales pitch.

Ranjan explains several phrases that do not work well for business emails.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • An overused cliche is, "Don't hesitate to contact me." It is not only over polite, but also sounds too phony. People are already aware that they can approach your business for further clarification on information.

  • Avoid filler phrases such as, "I hope you're well." These are hollow statements without true meaning or emotion. Instead keep the introduction light, and get straight to the point.

  • If your prospect asks a question responding with, "I don't know" is unprofessional. This gives the reader the wrong impression -- instead offer an answer that allows you to get back to them with the right information that they are looking for.
