15 Best SEO Friendly WordPress Themes for Highly Discoverable Content in 2016

15 Best SEO Friendly WordPress Themes for Highly Discoverable Content in 2016 | The Perfect Storm Team | Scoop.it

It can be difficult to tell how well a theme is optimized for SEO as some of the features are sometimes hidden.

Highly optimized SEO is in the details and you can tell by how the code and features are described.
A well-designed theme would have clean code that search engines love. They would be built with SEO best practices which would focus on headings, Google rich snippets for posts and reviews, Google authorship, semantic HTML5 markup, CSS3, be responsive, etc. Some themes even give you some extra tools to help you customize and improve your SEO even further.

With these features in mind I found 15 themes that are SEO friendly and help make your content highly discoverable. A few of these are older themes but they’ve been updated and are great examples of clean code that’s SEO optimized. They’re in no particular order. Let’s take a look.

I’m confident that these advanced research methods will add rocket fuel to your marketing, attract targeted traffic, earn valuable links, and ultimately boost your revenue.

I will explain in detail how to use each of these powerful research methods.

First of all, let me preface this by revealing something you may not know about Google: the algorithm changes 500-600 times per year.

That’s a rate of nearly 1.5 changes a day!

Even with all the marketing ability I’ve developed running my various businesses, I can’t hope to keep up with the rapid pace of change in the Google search algorithm and its machine learning. Odds are, neither can you.

So, now that you understand the why, let’s dive into the how. This is how we do keyword research in today’s world....

How Voice Search Will Forever Change SEO

How Voice Search Will Forever Change SEO | The Perfect Storm Team | Scoop.it
'Voice search is the fastest growing type of search. Already, 55% of teens and 41% of adults use voice search on a daily basis, and that number is only growing.

The allure of voice chat is undeniable—it’s faster, it’s hands-free, it lets you multi-task, and (especially among millennials) it’s considered cool. Voice chat is also becoming increasingly reliable as technology improves.

In fact, two years ago word error rate was over 20%, but current speech recognition word error rate is as low as 8%—a huge leap in a short amount of time.

It’s clear that context and conversational search are only to become more important as voice search continues to evolve.

So where does that leave SEO?'

7 SEO Mistakes Even SEO Professionals Make

7 SEO Mistakes Even SEO Professionals Make | The Perfect Storm Team | Scoop.it
'There are a few different sides to SEO; there’s a qualitative side to SEO—the quality of your content and the strength of your link profile factor in to how your domain ranks in search engines, but this is a somewhat subjective process.

On the other hand, there’s a quantitative side to SEO—a series of features, setups, and structures your site must exhibit to maximize your chances of getting ranked. There isn’t much room for subjective debate here, and one deviation from the guidelines can cost you, even if only slightly'.

7 SEO Mistakes:

1. Sub-optimal title tags and descriptions
2. Duplicate content
3. ‘Over-optimizing’ keyword usage
4. Focusing on quantity over quality content.
5. Allowing your sitemap to become obsolete
6. Neglecting Google’s diagnostic tools
7. Failing to scale the strategy

donhornsby's curator insight, June 8, 10:53 AM
Preventing and/or fixing these mistakes isn’t going to magically increase your rankings, and these aren’t the only mistakes you have to watch out for. SEO is an enormous, multifaceted strategy, but the more proactive and the more aware you are, the better chance you’ll have at building solid organic search visibility for the long term. As a general rule, you should always be operating under the assumption that you’re doing something wrong—double check your processes and audit your strategies regularly, as no matter how experienced or knowledgeable you are, there’s always room for improvement.

The most profound lessons can come from unexpected places.
Bryan Worn's curator insight, June 3, 2:41 AM

We had a dog for a number of years. This article is spot on.

Ken Feltman's curator insight, June 7, 9:51 AM

We consider ourselves fortunate to have shared our lives with two wonderful dogs. Emily Bronte was a black lab who loved every puddle and every ball. She found new paths to explore even on the most familiar trail. At home, she was always busy. She would take a ball up stairs and let it bound down. Then, she'd retrieve it and do it again and again.

Cindy was a Welsh sheep dog who had the herding instinct. Once, on a farm, she tried to herd some newborn calves. Soon, she was charged by a few concerned cows. After that, she herded ducklings and other smaller creatures. Somehow, she knew not to try to herd the cats and we would find her asleep in her bed with a cat or two snuggled up next to her.

Right now, I am on the back porch watching Muggins, a Maine Coon, as he pretends he is watching the nesting wrens dart in and out of the wren house our grandson built. But he is probably looking for an opportunity to annoy his sister, Lucy. She likes to jump up and walk in the porch rafters and atop the door into the house when it is open, which it is now. Muggins likes to use his weight to close the door. That causes Lucy to leap down - onto him, if possible - and one chases the other through the house. She tries to get him to slide on a wood floor into a wall. For large cats, they are able to jump quite high. Amazingly, nothing important has been broken.

Oops! There they go!
