I selected this article from Curatti written by Susan Gilbert because it shows you great tools to help create a successful marketing strategy.

Create more growth for your business with the right marketing tools.

12 Top Performing Marketing Resources

In order to improve your ROI and sales you need to have the right tools in place. I agree that in order to attract a larger audience it's important to take advantage of what's available.

Gilbert provides the best tools to help make your content go a lot farther with more conversions.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Get your important projects done quickly and efficiently with Producteev. There is easy access to your customers' projects that can be shared with your team members.

  • Find the right content to share with your target market with SparksFly. This app helps you to follow the right people and topics that can be shared via email and on social media.

  • Monitor your brand as conversations and shares take place with Mention. Generate statistics and alerts in order to stay on track with your marketing performance.

janlgordon's curator insight, January 17, 12:25 AM

I selected this article from Curatti written by Niraj Ranjan because it covers how to best approach your prospects.

Some phrases are outdated and inappropriate for business emails.

How to Communicate With Your Subscribers

It just takes a few words to lose the attention of a potential customer. I agree that in order to have more sales you should write your message in a way that is appealing and does not have a direct sales pitch.

Ranjan explains several phrases that do not work well for business emails.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • An overused cliche is, "Don't hesitate to contact me." It is not only over polite, but also sounds too phony. People are already aware that they can approach your business for further clarification on information.

  • Avoid filler phrases such as, "I hope you're well." These are hollow statements without true meaning or emotion. Instead keep the introduction light, and get straight to the point.

  • If your prospect asks a question responding with, "I don't know" is unprofessional. This gives the reader the wrong impression -- instead offer an answer that allows you to get back to them with the right information that they are looking for.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Robert Caruso because it provides insights on how marketing experiences has transformed customer engagement.

Your audience is not only involved in your products -- they are also paying attention to your messaging.

How Digital Marketing Affects Your Customers

Experiences are always occurring online whether you would like it to or not. I agree that businesses need to pay attention to how their marketing footprint is affecting their communication and sales.

Caruso explains the current state of customer relations in the realm of digital marketing.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • According to a study by Accenture, 34 percent of CMO and CEOs reported that their customers were more likely to engage with new entrant competitors. This is because the experience is more positive than traditional businesses.

  • Startups breaking into an established market need to pay attention to new and innovative products in order to be successful. This is important if you want to stay relevant to your audience.

  • True marketing experiences are specifically targeted and created for your niche audience. These should be a journey that your customer is taken through.

  • Users prefer to watch videos over just viewing images. This will increase your sales by at least 64 to 85 percent. This also increases the length of time a visitor stays on a website.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Tony Zambito because it provides insights on how digital and online information has transformed content marketing.

The idea of strategizing content has diminished over the last few years due to mobile and technology trends.

Why Context is More Important Than Content

Content should be tailored for your audience and what makes sense to them specifically. I agree that you can reach more people by reducing the amount of information being presented to them.

Zambito explains the basics of context in how it relates to today's online consumer.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • In order to be effective marketers need to understand the method of a connected series of stories. These should involve goal-directed behaviors and activities of buyers.

  • When it comes to effectively using context timing is critical. It's about what buyers are experiencing over time rather than a specific trigger.

  • Understanding the goals of your audience will help you move toward context. Not doing so can lead to content marketing failure.

I selected this article from Curatti written by Mark Preston because it provides insight into how to go beyond re-hashed content and publish original articles.

Why re-publishing methods only improve your website rankings.

Publish Less With More Substance

Each article you publish affects your brand image. I agree that your posts should be less frequent with more substance in order to grow your audience.

Preston explains what options are available to publishing more meaningful blog posts.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • A topic that has been published many times over is referred to as re-hashed content. This does more harm than good with less backlinks and interactions.

  • Being unique to your brand will help your posts get noticed. Stay true to your message -- this opens the doors to higher profile guest blogging opportunities.

  • Make sure your content is far better than what the competition is publishing. Write something that offers something of value that other's don't.

(From the article): Creates a unique voice. A brand is a crucial part of a business; it creates a particular image that people bear in mind and associate certain values with. Having a strong social media presence naturally creates a unique voice through which a company can engage with their audience, who will appreciate the content more than ever. A bland presence does nothing whatsoever for a company, so have a bit of personality when managing social media. The effects on overall operations can be staggering. Timothy Olmstead, a Manassas divorce lawyer, says, "With so many law firms competing for clients, social media is the ideal platform to highlight the unique qualities of your firm. Legal professionals that want to develop a specific brand or reach a specific clientele now have more control than ever, through social media marketing."

I selected this article from Curatti written by John Jantsch because it provides insights on how to take advantage of new technology and trends for business growth.

Understand digital disruption instead of avoiding it

Are You Ready for New Technology?

We are experiencing new trends and digital experiences like never before. I agree that in order to harness its full power you need to embrace the latest changes.

Jantsch explains what technology means to your business and how to keep up with the pace.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • In ten years we will see less cashier workers, travel agents and social media managers. It's time to move forward into the next decade of digital influence.

  • The new trend is a virtual office without a large number of employees. As a result there are better products and services being delivered.

  • People are getting older and living longer. This opens up a whole new industry in the medical field in both care and technology.
