"A Land without a People for a People without a Land" :Middle East Quarterly

"A Land without a People for a People without a Land" :Middle East Quarterly | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

Although the image of Palestine as a "land without a people" was most commonly advanced by Christian proponents of a Jewish return to Palestine, it would be wrong to ascribe the perception of Palestine as a land without a people only to Christians. In the context of the nineteenth century and the many nationalist movements that captured the Western imagination, the notion of a Jewish restoration in Palestine seemed logical, even without religious motivations. In 1891, William Blackstone sent an open letter, known today as the Blackstone Memorial, to U.S. president Benjamin Harrison: "Why shall not the powers which under the treaty of Berlin, in 1878, gave Bulgaria to the Bulgarians and Servia to the Servians now give Palestine back to the Jews? … These provinces, as well as Roumania, Montenegro, and Greece, were wrested from the Turks and given to their natural owners. Does not Palestine as rightfully belong to the Jews?"[22] Nineteenth-century Westerners associated peoples or nations with territory, and so to be a land without a people did not imply that the land was without people, only that it was without a national political character.

What may be odd, viewed from the Arab perspective, is the lens through which Westerners look at the land. In Western eyes, the eastern Mediterranean is permanently overlaid with the outline of a territory called "the Holy Land," or "the Land of Israel." Because Westerners equate lands with peoples, even post-Christian Westerners expect to find a people identified and coterminous with the Holy Land.

Muslims, however, neither perceived Palestine as a distinct country, nor Palestinians as a people.

Protecting Jewish Right of Settlement in Palestine

May 4, 2012 | Eli E. Hertz

Nearly ten years ago, while researching and studying the hundred years of modern Zionism, I came across writings of Professor Eugene Rostow, the past Dean of Yale Law School (1955-66) and a key draftee of the UN Resolution 242.

Professor Rostow was an expert in international law and more specifically the Mandate for Palestine. The Mandate granted Jews the irrevocable right to settle anywhere in Jewish Palestine, the area between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, a right unaltered in international law and valid to this day.

This right of Jews is protected by Article 80 of the United Nations Charter. The Article recognizes the continued validity of the rights granted to all states or peoples, or already existing international instruments including those adopted by the League of Nations.

Why do Palestinians really want an Arab state inside Israel ?

King of Jordan in this video admits that Palestine is JORDAN! And that Jordan is Palestine. Lebanese Arab expert says that it is the Jordan royalty that is at the root of the problem.  A royalty that stands in the way of incorporating the intent and legalities of the Mandate, San Remo and the League of Nations agreements. Palestine was divided in the early 20th Century and the international body accomodated the Arabs by giving Palestinian Arabs 77% of the territories, and Palestinian Jews 23% of the territories. The Mideast Conflict is about giving the Palestinian Arabs 100% of the territories and the Palestinian Jews none - overturning the Jew's historical, archeological, physical and human rights to their ancient homeland.

HAMAS Leader confirms Newt Gingrich was right: “Palestinians ARE and INVENTED People!

HAMAS Leader confirms Newt Gingrich was right: “Palestinians ARE and INVENTED People! | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

US Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich has come under a lot of fire for saying that the 'Palestinians' are an invented people. Most have ridiculed Gingrich by pointing out there are clearly millions of Arabs living in  the Holy Land.

But Gingrich wasn’t talking about the physical presence of those people today, but rather the fictitious national identity they have adopted and the fact that most immigrated to the land by invitation of the Zionists to build the nascent Jewish State -- attested to by the recent cinder-block construction of their homes.

In a televised address on Al-Hekma TV last week, Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad basically backed up Gingrich’s assessment, acknowledging that the roots of most “Palestinians” are elsewhere in the Middle East, and that the Palestinian label is only a thin veneer.

Those pushing for a Palestinian state try to paint the Palestinian Arabs as somehow distinct from the Arabs round-about, and therefore in need of their own state. Not so, said Hammad.

ALLAH be praised, we all have Arab roots, and every Palestinian, in Gaza and throughout Palestine, can prove his Arab roots – whether from Saudi Arabia, from Yemen, or anywhere.

Personally, half my family is Egyptian. We are all like that. More than 30 families in the Gaza Strip are called Al-Masri ["Egyptian"]. Brothers, half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis."

SEE IT FOR YOURSELF IN THE VIDEO - CLICK ON LINK:

More than that, Hammad stated that the true regional background of most “Palestinians” is not in “Palestine.”

Who are the Palestinians? We have many families called Al-Masri, whose roots are Egyptian…Egyptian! They may be from Alexandria, from Cairo, from Dumietta, from the North, from Aswan, from Upper Egypt. We are Egyptians. We are Arabs. We are Muslims. We are a part of you. - says Hammad.

Palestine? Let's Make This Clear: Jordan is Palestine!

Palestine? Let's Make This Clear: Jordan is Palestine! | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

Listen, Palestinian Arabs, If you want to march, march on Jordan.

From Matthew M. Hausman, Att'y: The “Jordan-is-Palestine” option for resolving the Arab-Israeli conflict is an idea that, despite history and logic, was beaten into silence by Israel’s enemies and detractors. Critics denounced the concept as preposterous, reactionary and counterproductive.

And yet, the idea has been resurrected from within Jordan itself. There can be no dispute that Jordan was created in a sovereign vacuum on land that had comprised most of the Palestine Mandate. However, its creation as Transjordan in 1921 satisfied a geopolitical need unencumbered by a Palestinian national myth that had not yet been invented.

In contrast, the Oslo peace process was based on the false premise that an ancestral population was indiscriminately displaced by Israel's establishment and now must be repatriated at her expense. Because Jordan embodies the concept of Arab self-determination as contemplated by the San Remo Conference and the Palestine Mandate, and because most Jordanians already identify as Palestinian, it is high time to recognize it as the Palestinian homeland and scrap the current peace process....

The truth – that Jews have the longest history of continuous habitation in the Holy Land, that they preceded the Arab-Muslim conquest by thousands of years, and that the Palestinians are largely descended from an immigrant population- migrant workers - that grew during the late Ottoman and British Mandatory periods – was suppressed under layers of Freudian self-denial.

Israel unfazed by Obama administration’s refusal to say Jerusalem is the capital

Israel unfazed by Obama administration’s refusal to say Jerusalem is the capital | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it
‘It’s our capital, no matter what anyone else is saying,’ the Foreign Ministry responds, amid new-old dispute about US stance on Holy City...

“Jerusalem is Israel’s capital by decision of the Knesset and nothing can change that,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Yigal Palmor said. “Every country is entitled to choose its own capital and it is not for others to designate anyone else’s capital. It’s our capital, no matter what anyone else is saying.”

Studies Show Jews’ Genetic Similarity - NYTimes.com

Studies Show Jews’ Genetic Similarity - NYTimes.com | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

DID YOU KNOW YOU'RE ALL JEWISH? PROOF - Jews have intermarried with Christians throughout Europe and the Americas for 18 centuries!

Moreover - EUROPEAN JEWS DO NOT ORIGINATE FROM and have nothing to do with KHAZARIA

A surprise from two surveys is the closeness of the Jewish groups of Europe, the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim.

Jewish communities in Europe and the Middle East share many genes inherited from the ancestral Jewish population that lived in the Middle East some 3,000 years ago, even though each community also carries genes from other sources — usually the country in which it lives.

That is the conclusion of two new genetic surveys, the first to use genome-wide scanning devices to compare many Jewish communities around the world.

A major surprise from both surveys is the genetic closeness of the two Jewish communities of Europe, the Ashkenazim and the Sephardim. The Ashkenazim thrived in Northern and Eastern Europe until their devastation by the Hitler regime, and now live mostly in the United States and Israel. The Sephardim were exiled from Spain in 1492 and from Portugal in 1497 and moved to the Ottoman Empire, North Africa and the Netherlands.

PALESTINIANISM: The fundamental misconception about Arab-Israeli peace

PALESTINIANISM: The fundamental misconception about Arab-Israeli peace | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

The “peace process” between Israel and the Arabs, touted as part of a “two state” plan, failed not because of disagreements over settlements and boundaries, but because of a basic false assumption: that Palestinianism could be fulfilled in a Palestinian state alongside Israel. It failed not because Israel did not give enough, but because nothing would have been enough.

Paradoxically, the more people urged Palestinian statehood as part of a two-state plan, the less relevant it became. This is because the issue was not about Palestine, but Palestinianism. This explains why all diplomatic negotiations and proposals not only did not work, but could not work.

For Arabs, Palestinians and most Muslims, that struggle is jihad against the infidel.

Since a “peace process” requires Arabs to give up their opposition to a Jewish state, it contradicts their basic principles and historic mission. While some might make temporary concessions, the goal is the same. It explains not only why the “peace process” failed, but why that failure was and is inevitable.

The primary goal of Palestinian nationalism is to wipe out the State of Israel, not to legitimize its existence.

Palestinian history fabricated | Palestinian Media Watch

Palestinian history fabricated | Palestinian Media Watch | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it
Having erased Jewish history, the Palestinian Authority fills the historical void by fabricating the ancient histories of Palestinians, Arabs and Muslims.

Rewriting history Rewriting the history of the Land of Israel in order to deny Israel's right to exist is central to Palestinian Authority (PA) policy. Long before it started the PA Terror Campaign (the "Intifada," 2000-2005), the PA was fighting a history war – erasing Jewish history and replacing it with a fabricated Palestinian history. This rewriting has two central goals:1- Erase the Jewish nation's 3,000 year history in the Land of Israel;
2- Invent ancient Palestinian, Muslim and Arab histories in the land.

The goal of this historical revision as a political strategy was first expressed publicly at a conference of Palestinian historians in 1998, when rewriting history was linked to the political goal of denying Israel's right to exist:"Dr. Yussuf Alzamili [Chairman History Department, Khan Yunis Educational College] called on all universities and colleges to write the history of Palestine and to guard it, and not to enable the [foreign] implants and enemies to distort it or to legitimize the existence of Jews on this land... [History lecturer Abu Amar] clarified that there is no connection between the ancient generation of Jews and the new generation." [Al-Ayyam, Dec. 4, 1998].

Erasing Jewish history in the land of Israel is followed by the PA’s invention of ancient and modern histories that support its political ideology and claim to the land of Israel. The Holocaust and other aspects of Jewish history are alternately denied, downplayed or distorted. Another distortion is to hide from Palestinians that Jesus was a Jew who lived in the Land of Judea/Israel. PA leaders repeatedly define Jesus as a Palestinian who preached Islam, thus denying not only Jewish history, but also the history and legitimacy of Christianity.

Citing numerous examples, this section will document that these and other historical revisions are an integral part of Palestinian policy and are used to create political ideology.

Foreign Confidential ™: Is Jordan Palestine?

Foreign Confidential ™: Is Jordan Palestine? | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

The recent revolutions in Arab countries of the Middle East prove that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is not the main problem of the region. Any attempts to force Israel to create or accept a Palestinian State in the West Bank and Gaza will only enhance the instability in this region. The world community is experiencing growing frustration in the face of the recurrent failures to resolve this conflict. These failures are the result of a miss-diagnosis of the roots of the conflict. If it was in fact a territorial conflict between two nations over a piece of land, the logical solution of division of the land would be the true cure to the conflict and could have been achieved long ago. But this conflict is not a territorial conflict, but a religious war – a clash of ideologies. As such, the Palestinians will never be ready to recognize Israel as a Jewish State and declare the end of the conflict.

The Jordanian King is simply trying to save his own skin. Increasingly menaced by Islamists at home, he wants to keep the international/Islamist focus on Israel.

His comments are a reminder that two Israeli leaders--Ariel Sharon and Yitzhak Shamir--may have been right about Jordan. It is the Palestinian state, and the world would have long ago recognized it as such if not for the Hashemite monarchy.

Contrary to popular opinion which has nothing to do with historical fact, Jordan and the Arabs of the West Bank are OCCUPYING Jewish territory in violation of San Remo, the British Mandate and the League of Nation's - international community - decisions under international law, a land that was never Muslim land but always Jewish. The Hashemites, cousins of the Saudi kings, are extending their Caliphate ambitions. And that is what the Mideast conflict is about. Muslims will not tolerate Jews amongst them and are at war - JIHAD - against Jews and Christiendom until both disappear from the Islamic lands. And then the Islamists will continue their invasion and repopulating of Andaluz - Europe and beyond, which they also consider holy Islamic lands.

Israelis blame administration leaks for ‘diplomatic, military and even operational damage’ | World Tribune | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

WASHINGTON — Israel has been alarmed by what officials determined
were leaks by the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama of purported
Israeli preparations to attack Iran.

A leading U.S. analyst who returned from talks with the Israeli
leadership reported that the Obama administration was accused of staging a
campaign to undermine Israel. The analyst, Robert Satloff, said Washington
was also blaming Israel for the rise in global crude oil prices, deemed as
harming the U.S. economy.

March to Jerusalem: A sizzle or a fizzle? - Arab News

The WORLD MEDIA is losing interest in The Palestinian Cause in spite of heavy coverage. People are bored with it, "It has been overexposed," one credible source remarked. Another staffer at ARAB NEWS said that the Palestinian narrative is failing to garner True Believers.

Dubbed the “Global March to Jerusalem,” organizers are planning rallies worldwide with the bulk of the demonstrators moving on the borders separating Israeli and the Palestinian Authority, but also in major cities around the world, some in front of Israeli embassies.

While Israel is downplaying the event diplomatically, it has nevertheless beefed up its security forces and issued warnings to neighboring Arab states through intermediaries not to allow demonstrators near the borders or violate the country’s sovereignty, lest there be a replay of similar marches last year that saw over a dozen people killed and hundreds wounded while trying to breech minefields and penetrate heavily armed Israeli frontiers.

But this year’s planned massive demonstration is coming at a time when the Palestinian issue has fallen off the political table.

The New Anti-Semitism | Hoover Institution

The New Anti-Semitism | Hoover Institution | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it

Not long ago, the Economist ran an unsigned editorial called the “Auschwitz Complex.” The unnamed author blamed serial Middle East tensions on both Israel’s unwarranted sense of victimhood, accrued from the Holocaust, and its unwillingness to “to give up its empire.” As far as Israel’s paranoid obsessions with the specter of a nuclear Iran, the author dismissed any real threat by announcing that “Iran makes an appealing enemy for Israelis,” and that “Israelis have psychologically displaced the source of their anxiety onto a more distant target: Iran.”

It is hard to fathom how a democracy of seven million people by any stretch of the imagination is an “empire.” Israel, after all, fought three existential wars over its 1947 borders, when the issue at hand was not manifest destiny, but the efforts of its many enemies to exterminate or deport its population. I would not otherwise know how to characterize the Arab promise of more than a half-century of “pushing the Jews into Mediterranean.”

State Dept. Spokesman Refuses to Say Whether Jerusalem Is the Capital of Israel | The PALESTINIANS - The Invented People of a Fabricated Nation | Scoop.it
There was an amazing exchange today at the State Department press briefing when the press secretary refused to say that Jerusalem is the capital of the state of Israel.

"We are not going to prejudge the outcome of those negotiations, including the final status of Jerusalem," State Department spokesman Victoria Nuland said in response a question. Later, an apparently irritated spokesperson again repeated her commitment not to answer the simple question. "I don't have anything further to what I've said 17 times on that subject," said Nuland.
