One of the answers to this question was given by Said Aburish, an Arab who wrote a book that was published in 1995 called The Rise, Corruption and Coming Fall of the House of Saud. Said Aburish wrote about how the Saudis took control of the pan-Arab press and gained influence over the Western press.
The Saudis have taken control of much of the Western press, including major stakes in media centers in the United States. It can be said accurately, that what conspiracy theorists have mean-spiritedly accused the Jewish People of, is in fact what the Saudis have accomplished - Global Control of Media, along with global control of university curricula by funding chairs at major universities. Together, and along with the infiltration of government, including America's security agencies, Islamic influence extends to the indoctrination of Christian and Jewish children.
