      The American Mafia the Mafia or Mob of the United States is an Italian-American criminal family or “Society.” They are very much like the Sicilian Mafia. The American mafia has no actual name. It is a Secret criminal society. Their members usually actually refer to it as COSTA NORSTRA (Italian for “our thing”). The Mafia first emerged in Ney Yorks Lower East Side. It also is in other areas of the East Coast of the United States during the late 19th century. Following the group of waves of the Italian Immigration. This also includes from Sicily. It roots from the Sicilian Mafia. It is a separate organization in the United States. The Criminal Activities include Racketeering, Counterfeiting, Drug Trafficking, Extortion, Fencing, Illegal Gambling, Murder, Prostitution, Blackmailing, and Loan Sharking. Their Territory includes Northern United States, Chicago, Detroit, and Florida.

 

      Today the American Mafia is cooperating in other various criminal activities with the Sicilian Mafia and more group, as in Camorra, ‘Ndrangheta, and Sacra Corona Unita. The Mafia is mainly active in New York City, New Jersey, Philadelphia, New England, Detroit, and of course Chicago. They have families and associates in states or cities like Los Angeles, Texas, Florida, and Las Vegas. They have at least been in 26 cities all around the U.S. with Costa Nostra families. The Mafia dominates organized crimes in the United States. The whole thing is ran by The Commission, this is all consisting of the bosses of each of the strongest families of the mafia. Law enforcement sill says and considers that the Mafia is the largest organized crime group in the United States. It mainly has the most control over the organized crimes and activity in the U.S. and parts in Canada. The Mafia still dominates Chicago and the U.S. in the organized crime group. Street gangs and other organizations have no connection to the Italian origin. The Italian-American Mafia Has been around since late 19th century to the present. Its origins are Sicily, founded in New York City.

these are maps of where the american  mafia are associated. I thought it would be in america but i guess i ws wrong. obliviously its in western sicily. they are not as popular in america. also they are in east harlem. this map shows the dates, the prisons they are in and all. i hope this is enough.
