Whats the idea of this service? I can see a point in the 5 categories, but you can just use tags in other services. Sccop.it, Diigo and Symbaloo seems way better for the purpose than this. Have I missed the point, Ana?

Hi Ove, you're absolutely right; with today's alternatives (e.g. Scoop.It!, PearlTrees and other curation tools) I also wonder about PortaPortal. Having said that, for me it was of interest to note how much these tools have developed in both their visual appeal and community network structure. This particular tool is not one that I have a need to use but would like to include as a point of reference. On the other hand, for those who struggle with broadband in developing countries, this may actually be of use.
