By 1940 Keaton's contract with MGM was over and his life started to turn around again. He got married for a third time, to a dancer named Eleanor Morris. Many believe she is the reason Keaton became stable. The were together until Keaton's death in 1966.

By 1923, Keaton started making full features. Not only is this a short humerous scene from his 1924 silent film "Sherlock Jr" but is also one of my favorite scenes as It just goes to show the types of performances Keaton can pull off in his very own films.

This was Keaton's first film, which was a two-reeler film released in 1917 called "The Butcher Boy". Keaton was also known for his slapstick comedy which would explain the young actor doing all of his own stunts throughout his own films. He worked closey with Arbuckle which gave him the ability to have full access to the process of making films.

By 1950 Buster Keaton had returned to fame and appeared on a string of English television programs. Also, it was around this time that many people began to discover Keaton's earlier work from the silent film era and started to appreciate them more.

In 1928, Keaton made "The worst mistake of his career", He signed on with MGM where he made a string of new sound comedies. Although they weren't bad, they arnt what he or others expected to come from the creative film maker himself. When signing with MGM, he also signed over some of his film making control to his bosses, his career spiralled down hill from this point forward. His first marriage also fell apart at this point.

"The General" is known as Keaton's finest creation. Keaton starred as a train engineer in the civil war. Although the film was a commerial flop and didnt do very well due to finances etc. It was still pretty powerful to know that Keaton was the force behind the film including both writing and directing it.
