Sacramento Metro firefighters and members of the University of California at Davis Veterinarian Medical Response team rescued a horse from the second story of a hay loft on Christmas Eve.


@FranJurga writes: This time of year, we hear abour horses falling through thin ice, floundering through swimming pool covers, or being marooned by blizzards.


But here's a rescue of an entirely different sort, as a California horse tested the problem-solving skills of the rescue crew.
