I think this is very exciting but two caveats (i) I've loaded this onto my iPad1 which crashed out twice whilst looking at it [is this a problem with running iBooks2 on an iPad1? or just me?] (ii) The 3 chapters of Life on Earth (the free showcase) was almost a GB - that does not leave a lot of room for things on a 16GB Pad once its running the system and a few other apps - what size will the 'average' new iTextbook be?

Hudson parents wary of tablet program at middle school

Some parents are voicing concerns that giving iPads to middle school students could lead to trouble.

 

Several parents who attended yesterday’s forum, the third of four on the proposed iPad pilot program for JFK Middle School, said they’re concerned about students accessing inappropriate content and using Facebook or other social networking websites during class time.
