Augmented Reality 3D-Tracking App Makes You an Expert Mechanic [VIDEO] | The Internet | Scoop.it

"A new 3D-tracking app aims to help hopeless handymen and women become expert mechanics.

Tech firm Inglobe Technologies released a demo that shows off its augmented-reality 3D tracker. The app helps car owners navigate the ins and outs of their engines by displaying icons on engine parts. What's more, a virtual hand demonstrates how users can perform maintenance tasks such as adding oil."

People Are Totally Binge-Watching Arrested Development, & Pirating It Too | Wired.com

People Are Totally Binge-Watching Arrested Development, & Pirating It Too | Wired.com | The Internet | Scoop.it

"Netflix doesn't release viewership numbers, but according to outside metrics a fair amount of people are binge-watching Arrested Development. And pirating it too, naturally....

Another sign that Arrested is taking hold with fans? There was “significant file sharing activity” for the new episodes. Indeed, according to TorrentFreak, which monitors BitTorrent activity, the first episode of the newArrested Development season saw 175,000 downloads in the two days after it went up on Netflix. That’s nowhere near the million downloads Game of Thrones saw in one day following the season premiere back in April, but it’s still not bad. Not to mention that the lower numbers could simply mean that more people who wanted to watch Arrested Development were already subscribers to Netflix. As TorrentFreak notes, it “could be that the download numbers would have been exponentially higher if Arrested Development hadn’t been made so widely available....."
