from the site --> " I do not believe in reforms that are imposed from  above, especially at a state or national level. To change schools for the better it has to start at a local level with teachers at individual schools. Relationships provide the trust needed to foster  improvement, innovation, productivity and collaboration in schools. Relationships do not appear in any reform movement literature, nor do they have any pundits or lobbyists. Even though the idea of advocating relationships seems ephemeral and touchy feely, it is probably the most important variable in the school environment."
