Dan Gillmor: Are enthusiastic users of social networking sites giving up too much control?

Control, ownership and value are inextricably linked, but having one does not necessarily boost another. Exposure on a site you don't control may be worth more to you than lack of attention on a site you do. And you may find the social and professional connections you make and enjoy on third-party sites so useful that they're worth what you are giving up. But it's worth weighing the tradeoffs.

Google+ Finally Released for iPhone ~ LockerGnome iPhone and iPad

The iPhone app is pretty much a carbon copy of the Android version of Google+, released alongside the service a couple of weeks ago.

There is no iPad native version of the app just yet, so iPad users will need to stick to the mobile site right now, or deal with using the iPhone version in pixel-double mode.
