6. What is currently happening is that new applicants are begging to get positions, while teachers who have the jobs already are leaving at larger rates after the unsatisfaction of classroom life and school reform and testing as well.

8. The avergae teacher makes about 53,000 a year, and need a Bachelor's degree. One requirement for teaching is internship/student training. The job increase from 2010 to 2020 is 7%. Employment chance from 2010 to 2020 will be and estimated 71,900.

3. The education field is a path that many college students as well as others are not exploring. Over the next ten years there is said to be thousands of teacher/instructors who will be approaching retirement. And the fear is that there will not be enough teachers to fill these positions. The teacher education programs are currently failing because of the conditions of the economy.

1. There has been a total of 300,000 positions in the education field that have been lost since the recession in June 2009 has been over. This is the worst loss of jobs compared to every other recovery in recent years.

2.There was a national increase of 4.6 percent when it came to student to teacher ratio in the class room from 2008 to 2010. This ratio will continue to increase as we enter the 2012-2013 school year.
