Great Info for Any Business Owner or Marketing Manager

Ahmed Alkandari's curator insight, November 24, 2014 9:03 PM

Google Apps are a cloud-based, hosted service that allows you to integrate a variety of Google products (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and others). Applications work very well with accounting and finance, productivity, project management, and sales and marketing. All of these comes under Google Apps Marketplace.

Here is a list of tools that the writer have reviewed and recommend.

1- Wishpond Social Media Marketing Campaigns:

It offers eight types of social media campaigns in one suite including sweepstakes, photo contests, and group offers. In order to interact with an app that is included, you need to like the page. It's 14 day free trial. Premium plans start at $19 per month.

2- Blog Upp:

It features all-in-one blog promotion tool where it connects a blog community and media distribution network that broadcasts via different tools or channels. It's free to use and there is a premium version that is available.

3-Fyrebox:

Helps you create games for your Facebook page. It's free for up to 50 plays per month. Paid plans start at $15 per month.

4- OnFast Social Marketing:

It's a social media management solution designed for small businesses that enable users to manage and measure social networks from a single dashboard. It's free for 30 days. Prime plans available for small, medium, and enterprise businesses.

5- Zoho campaigns:

They combines email and social marketing software that integrates with a customer relationship management (CRM) application. It offers design templates to make campaign creation easier, and includes post scheduling options for Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as real-time stats. It's Free for up to 500 contacts and 2,500 emails per month. Premium plans start at $5 per month.

6- Tweasy:

It enables marketing via multiple channels that include email, mobile, websites, and Facebook. You can publish news and coupons, launch a contest, create a landing page, or collect customer feedback on all channels. It costs $29 per month.

7- e5: Google Apps + WordPress:

It's an open source plugin that fully integrates WordPress with Google Apps for Business. You can embed files from Google Drive, post photos to your site directly from Picasa, and schedule posts using Google Calendar It's free to use.

8- Web2Express.Social Media Monitoring:

It helps businesses monitor social networks and integrates with some CRM programs. Google Apps Marketplace lists the price as negotiable.

9- Rapportive:

It's a social CRM application that enables you to view publicly available data about email contacts directly from Gmail including a contact’s photo, list of occupations, location, recent tweets, and social media profiles.

10- Desk.com:

It's a social help desk that features real-time customer support via email, Facebook, Twitter, live chat, web, and phone from a single administrative console. It costs $3 per month for up to 3 people.

It was really exciting reading the scoop. It added to my knowledge about Google Apps a lot. All of thees apps and tools are useful to use and access. It helps protect your information and data. It also allows you to monitor your data and your social networks. After reading this scoop, I really advice people to use these apps and to benefit from them. It's also amazing how Google made them all in one as a cloud, were you don't have to worry about loosing informations or data.

Moreover, most of these apps and tools are free to use. Even for the ones that you have to pay for them, it's actually not expensive and really worth what are you paying for.

Technology is really developing more and more and it's really important to keep up with thees developments and changes because they are helping us managing our life and makes our life easier.

Greg Lustig's curator insight, October 24, 2013 10:04 AM

There is a significant difference between rising through the ranks to a position of authority and starting a business where you are instantaneously thrust into a position of power by virtue of your investment. Those who have risen through the ranks with positions of increasing authority are much more likely to understand what it takes to be an effective leader.Where as founders are often so invested in their business that they are driven by the fear of failure .Instead of leading they rule.Employees are marginalized to the point  that they work in constant fear of the loss of their job. This not only inhibits the employees development ,it poisons the corporate enviorment.

5 Virtual Communications Tips for Small Business Owners

#smallbiz #communications http://goo.gl/tCP5xW

Mary Ramos's curator insight, September 14, 2013 2:46 AM

I think it's interesting the way small business owners and large business owners differentiate at handling the same things. One thing may be more of importance to a small owner than an owner with a larger company. It could also be the lack of experience that small companies may have opposed to a larger company who deals with larger amounts of things on a day to day basis.
