Vocabulary: 1. Barbed- wire: Wire with chisters of short , sharp spikes set at intervals along it, used to make fences or in warfare as an obstruction. Ex. We had a barbed-wire for all the horses. 2. Threshed: Separate grain from (a plant), typically with a flail or by the action of a revolving mechanism. 3. Thistles: a widely distributed herbaceous plant of the daisy family, which typically has a prickly stem and leaves and rounded heads of purple flowers. Ex. My mom planted a thistle in her garden 4. Erosion: the process of eroding or building or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents. Ex. The problem of soil erosion. 5. Readily: without hesitation or reluctance willingly. Ex. He readily admits that the new car surpasses its predecessors. 6. Contour: An outline, one representing or bounding the shape or form of something. Ex. She traced the contours of his face with her finger. 7. Equalled: Be the same as in number or amount. 8. Indication: A sign or piece of information that indicates something. Ex. The visit was an indication of the improvement in relations between the countries. 9. Fundamentally: in central or primary respects, used to make an emphatic statement about the basic truth 10. Furnished: available to be rented with furniture. Ex. the proprietor has furnished the bedrooms in a variety of styles.
