Employment and Disability Institute
Despite the passing of the ADA in 1990 and ADAAA in 2008, qualified jobseekers with disabilities continue to face significant barriers in getting permanent, viable jobs. While some of these barriers are directly related to having a disability, others are not and have to do more with subtle but distinct characteristics and changes in the labor market, business, and the organizational climate. Some of these trends could be good news for jobseekers with disabilities, while others may not be.
The purpose of this webinar is to get beyond just basic information about legal rights and obligations under the ADA and to move toward enabling participants to expand their knowledge of the existing climate and create strategies to enhance their job seeking effectiveness. This webinar is ideal for job seekers with disabilities, employment service providers, vocational rehabilitation professionals, HR professionals, and employers.
