I totally agree with you, Natalie and this article! Yes, photo in Marketing has great impact in public positively or negatively. Negative impact means that if company use actor or actress who most customers dont really like, the customers automatically feel bad on the brand or company, right? Color, font size, format, people etc all visual will give more impact rather than just words!
Zongwu Chen's comment, September 26, 2013 8:18 AM
I think the answer involves leveraging third party content via smart and ethical curtain so that you do take the time to invest in original photo or artwork for the most critical campaigns.
Linda Huynh's comment, September 26, 2013 1:54 PM

@Natalie this article provides brilliant examples of why SMS is needed in the marketing mix today. I think a good reason is the " go green" part as SMS is environmentally friendly. It is also cost effective as advertisements and billboards etc cost a lot of money whereas SMS is minimal and interactive as majority of consumers today own a mobile phone. The 5 Reasons are very persuading and prove how SMS is a great tool to use for marketing in any brand/business.

I like the way how you summarise the article and the comment you make, it is a good article when it comes to provide a better understanding to what a marketing communication mix is. Marketing communication mix and be done in a lot of ways and as long as you combine two or more strategy together while attempting to promote their business or products to targeted customers it can be considered as marketing communication mix. It is very nice how the article break down all the parts and elements so people can have a better understanding of all the key points and not misunderstand them. I think that discounts and promotions are a very good combination with advertising, when they are used together they can produce very good results as people are always attracted by discounts and promotions while adverting give them a good plate form to show their target audience and target market. After reading your insight I can understand why people might mix up some key words and treat them as the same meaning due to daily life, but in professional terms they are different. Good job on the insight.

The six elements of marketing communication that given in the article is very helpful for the readers, help them to understand what marketing communication mix is. I personally think that marketing communication mix is quite hard to understand because of the complexity in terms of creating a good method of communicate with targeted customers.

@NatalieHuynh I agree with you! Its very important to chose marketing tool which our customers most likely to see, aware in marketing mix. If we use all marketing mix, its gonna be costly and useless, right? This is why its essential to know, understand about our customers well.
Tien Vo's comment, September 25, 2013 8:25 AM
With all the limitations, such as time and budget, choosing a "perfect" marketing mix for a business become so difficult. The author has an important suggest that don't try to apply the one-size-fits-all for marketing communication as products are different, budget varies and customers are different. She also recommends to use media that customers use. I agree with this because that's the fastest and most effective way to attract customers and engage with them. Learning how to make the relationship with customers go the right direction is also important.
