This is a varied collection of illusions and I do like the one above.

It includes videos and images and it not a bad collection if you want to show a range of illusions to a group.

It is annoying that you still have to click 'next' and load in a new page to see the next illusion.

AltThere is an unwritten rule among magicians never to reveal how a trick is done. So when a 2004 exhibition explained Harry Houdini's illusions, magicians around the world were apoplectic. David Copperfield called it a breach of magic protocol, and performers declared that they would boycott the exhibition. Many claimed to still use Houdini's tricks themselves.

Although this article reveals a lot of the secrets of Houdini and somehow it doesn't feel right, nevertheless it is wonderful collection of his tricks and includes plenty of background text and even some videos of the events.

You can watch this video if you like but it is really a set of photos with an explanation of each type of illusion.

The author gives no references for their explanations so I would watch the video with a pinch of salt handy.

They illusions include: Green Flash (effect of the sun), Online Disinhibition Effect (changing online behaviour), Cocktail Party Effect (brain able to concentrate on loud places), The Gruen Transfer, The Moon Illusion (moon appears bigger), Tetris Effect (of mind), Illusory Superiority, The Colour of Water (colourless, but blue in oceans and rivers), Contagious Shooting, Forced Perspective (optical illusion to make an object appear farther away, closer, larger or smaller than it actually is).
