New York Post does not exactly surprise me when it comes to publishing false information but I was a little shocked about CNN. It really brought them down to a lower level.

This seems like to be one of the biggest mistakes The New York Post has done in quite some time. It not only effected their likability but also put those two men in danger.

Another interesting collection of faulty reports by the New York Post,  CBS and Reddit. Harming, frightening, incorrect information came from too many sources, from the most to the least reliable. This witnesses the crucial period of change in journalism. The pillars that support the traditional regime of the media, quality control, professionality and reliability, are shaking in the transition to the new regime. Some of these reports have included anonymous sources, which is what is most wrong and unethical.

Would you imgine your face on the front page of a newspaper, finger-pointed and suspeced to be a bomber, a killer, a terrorist? Did the New York Post think about what their message told the audience and what consequences their information release could have?  Surely there has been a rushed chase for 'the face', one that could be responsible for the bombings and, at this point, for the reporters' credibility. This behavior is supposed to be demonized within media outlets.

This is a great example of a citizen stepping up and showing the media what is wrong with their ethics. If they are going to harm innocent citizens but publishing false information then the public at least deserves a response. Things like this I'm sure get the medias attention but will not get a response because they may be too embarrassed or really just don't care that much because they are such a huge corporation.
