A reality TV star accused of ripping off people across Central Florida was busted in Lady Lake late Thursday night.
Nicole Clawson, 39, is best known for appearing on the truTV reality show "Full Throttle Saloon," and Local 6 was there as Clawson was escorted into the Lake County Jail Thursday night.
She remained silent as she walked into the jail, accused of ripping off men and women in Sumter, Marion and Lake counties.
"Full Throttle Saloon" was taped in August but is just now appearing on television.
Detectives say Clawson lied her way onto the set of the show, which is about an infamous biker bar in Sturgis, South Dakota. She allegedly told producers she inherited $40 million from her deceased father and wanted to give the bar $1 million.
Since October, detectives said Clawson has been in Central Florida hanging out near The Villages Regional Hospital, Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala and Leesburg Regional Medical Center, posing as a nurse as well as a terminally ill cancer patient.
Detectives say she even shaved her head to look like she was undergoing treatment so other people, many of whom were really battling cancer, would give her money...
