Police say an armed robber struck his third Miami-area Burger King restaurant in two nights Tuesday in Hialeah.
The latest attempt happened at the fast food eatery at 891 West 49th Street when the masked robber forced his way into the drive-thru window and demanded the cashier give him money, Hialeah Police said.
Police believe it's the same suspect who struck at two different Miami Burger King restaurants Monday night in similar robberies.
In the first robbery, at the location at 3601 Northwest 27th Avenue, the masked robber pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded money, Miami Police said. The employee complied and the robber grabbed cash out of the register before fleeing the store.
The second robbery happened about a half-hour later at the Burger King at 1309 Northwest 20th Street. In that robbery, the suspect jumped through the drive-thru window and again demanded cash but fled the scene empty-handed, police said. Surveillance video captured one of the robberies Monday night...
