ORLANDO, Fla. — Three people were charged with grand theft after they became upset over the presidential election results Wednesday morning and drove around stealing road signs, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A trooper in Orlando noticed their pickup truck at about 1 a.m., which had signs hanging more than 6 inches out the bed of the truck.
Dispatch informed the trooper that they had received calls about people in the truck yelling racial slurs at pedestrians.
When troopers stopped the pickup and questioned the three people in the vehicle, David Hatmaker, 23, said he and two of his friends were at the Stagger Inn in downtown Orlando when they became upset that President Barack Obama won re-election, the arrest report said...
