Hillsborough County deputies have released a surveillance video and are seeking the public's help in locating a woman they say ran away with an engagement ring she tried on at a Brandon jewelry store last month.
On Sept. 23 at about 2:50 p.m., an unknown female approached the counter at Zales in the Westfield Brandon mall and asked an employee to see a gold engagement ring set, deputies say.
The video shows her running out of the store after she received it from the employee.
The ring set is valued at $1,739, deputies say.
The woman is described as 18-21 years old, Hispanic or black with a light complexion. She is between 5 feet and 5 feet 5, with a thin build, black hair with a red patch on the side, and a bright-colored tattoo on her upper left arm...
