By Jane Hart

"Although I tweet links to interesting resources as I find them, and collate them in my 2013 Reading List, the important thing for me about curation is also taking some time to analyse what I’ve found to try and make sense of it all, and consider how it adds to my own thinking and practice.

"So that’s why at the end of each month I take a look at all the resources I have collected during the month, and pick out the ones that I found particularly useful, valuable or impactful. So here is my selection from February 2013."

Jim Lerman's insight:

Hart is a person who never ceases to provide outstanding resources. These quotations, which she considers the best she's come across in February, are quite thought-provoking, at least to me.

Skillshare • Read — What happens when teachers think like entrepreneurs? | :: The 4th Era :: | Scoop.it

A couple of months ago, I read an article in GOOD Magazine titled “Are ‘Teacherpreneurs’ the Future of Education?” There was one line in that whole article that really stuck out to me about “teacherpreneurs: the people who teach in the classroom are also the ones generating education policy reform, which is a 180 from what happens now.”

My experience as a student really influenced my views on education. While we talked about how to change education, we challenged ourselves to create something that used the power of the Internet to democratize learning outside of the classroom. Skillshare was born shortly afterwards and we haven’t looked back since.

But, what happens when teachers think like entrepreneurs?
