Quality control for e-learning? | ZDNet | :: The 4th Era :: | Scoop.it
Three organisations have collaborated in the hopes of producing a global e-learning material quality control system.

The Learning Agency Network (LANETO), the Agence Wallonne des Télécommunication (AWT) and the e-Learning Quality Service Center (eLQSC) have begun developing the label, which they hope will become an internationally recognized method of differentiating between software in an increasingly bloated online market.

This is not intended to be a definitive listing, but rather an informed resource that provides insights and raises awareness. Lots of links to example apps and articles have been provided, so readers can learn more about each application category.

Skillshare • Read — What happens when teachers think like entrepreneurs? | :: The 4th Era :: | Scoop.it

A couple of months ago, I read an article in GOOD Magazine titled “Are ‘Teacherpreneurs’ the Future of Education?” There was one line in that whole article that really stuck out to me about “teacherpreneurs: the people who teach in the classroom are also the ones generating education policy reform, which is a 180 from what happens now.”

My experience as a student really influenced my views on education. While we talked about how to change education, we challenged ourselves to create something that used the power of the Internet to democratize learning outside of the classroom. Skillshare was born shortly afterwards and we haven’t looked back since.

But, what happens when teachers think like entrepreneurs?
