10 Jobs Artificial Intelligence Will Replace (and 10 That Are Safe)

10 Jobs Artificial Intelligence Will Replace (and 10 That Are Safe) | :: The 4th Era :: | Scoop.it

The other day at work, my colleague, HubSpot Marketing Director Ryan Bonnici, sent around a link on Slack -- to a website called “Will Robots Take My Job?”

We were thrilled to learn marketing managers had only a 1.4% chance of our jobs being automated or replaced by robots and artificial intelligence. And although I breathed a sigh of relief that writing has only a 3.8% chance of being automated, it made me think about job roles that weren’t so lucky.

If you think job disruption by AI is limited to the assembly lines, think again: AI is doing a better job than humans at some aspects of sales and marketing, too....

Teachthought.com report all the important uses that AI may serve in the education industry. All of the 10 points in these are positive.

Leaving out the fact that the advancements in AI may have the possibility of taking educators jobs (along with many other jobs). Although this is an advanced idea, it is still a possibility within the future. But do all these positivies outweigh the negative?

AI will create many new jobs — here’s how you can prepare

Taking a positive approach by focusing on upgrading workers’ skills is more productive than warning against AI’s incursion into the labor landscape. Instead of trying to guard against a human vs. machine battle, what we need is greater human-machine collaboration. As The Wall Street Journal observed, “Automating parts of a job will often increase the productivity and quality of workers by complementing their skills with machines and computers, as well as by enabling them to focus on those aspects of the job that most need their attention.”

The AI-driven workplace evolution will not edge out humans altogether. A McKinsey Global Institute report suggested, “Humans will still be needed in the workforce [as] … the total productivity gains we estimate will only come about if people work alongside machines. That in turn will fundamentally alter the workplace, requiring a new degree of cooperation between workers and technology.”
