8 Annotation Tools Teachers should Have

8 Annotation Tools Teachers should Have | The 21st Century | Scoop.it

Annotating tools are a must have for every teacher. I personally can't imagine myself surfing online with no web tools to help me annotate, highlight, clip, and share parts or segments of the web content I find interesting. Most of the browsers nowadays particularly Chrome and Firefox have specific extensions for this purpose.

Sophistry Blog: From OER to cMOOC to github: A proposal for Open Education | The 21st Century | Scoop.it

I have been a learning technologist for 10 years and in that time I have seen at least 3 VLE silos being emptied or recycled or replaced. Change is inevitable when it comes to technology, for sure, but is this the type of change we want, especially as we interact with different learning systems as we continue our professional development.

I really think that this is a good idea. The people pay the taxes that make the experiments happen. We should have the right to know what happens in those experiments. While it still takes about twelve months to make the results available, it is still better then what we have now.  I do agree that we don't need to make our top secret information available because than way to many people could see that.

The POERUP project follows on nicely from OPAL and is interested in focusing on the policy debate around OER and their associated practices.  In particular, we aim to •stimulate uptake of OER by policy through derivation of evidence-based policies. This will include studying end-user–producer communities, a set of country reports and a series of in-depth European case studies (and some selected case studies worldwide).
