On my way home from visiting my 83-year-old father in Scottsdale for Christmas a storm stranded me in west Texas. The good news was I was only 50 miles from Marfa, Texas. Marfa is a beacon of art and creativity thanks to minimalist sculptor Donald Judd moving his airplane hangers of art to the desolate west Texas plains.
On a snowy Sunday, I drove the thirty miles from Van Horn, Texas to see the Prada Marfa art installation. The web marketing lesson is simple. Creat magic and people will find you. As I left, just after dawn, two cars pulled into the tiny alcove off of a two-lane state highway to take pictures of Prada Marfa.
