LOVE To Spare Today? Please LIKE Cure Cancer Starter on Facebook & Volunteer | Personal Branding Using Scoopit | Scoop.it

Watch video on CureCancerStarter.org's misison to create the first crowdfunding platform to bring cancer patients and researchers together.

Martin (Marty) Smith's insight:

Share the Love, Cure Cancer
I am in the fight of my life. Yes I have cancer, but this fight is to create CureCancerStarter.org, our crowdfunding platform for cancer research. Over my head? You bet.

Drowning? Sure, but combining two things I love - paying back those who've helped save my life by creating a platform to help fund cancer research and playing with these magical Internet marketing Lego blocks.

If you have a moment today, please LIKE Cure Cancer Starter on Facebook:

http://www.facebook.com/CureCancerStarter

AND tell your friends that the coolest thing since sliced bread is being created by a crazy team of dedicated developers, artists and cancer survivors.

AND you can help in 3 ways:

1. LIKE Cure Cancer Starter on Facebook (gets the Google juice flowing) & Follow @CureCancerStart on Twitter.

2. Watch my video explaining our mission at http://www.curecancerstarter.org.

3. Volunteer by emailing Martin.Smith(at)Atlanticbt.com (will have a form soon).

We need help developing a great board of advisors, creating content, developing and executing our Internet marketing plans and creating Cure Cancer Starter (so we need help with everything).

Thanks :). Marty

New Facebook Page In 5 Easy Steps

New Facebook Page In 5 Easy Steps | Personal Branding Using Scoopit | Scoop.it

"HubSpot explains (with video) how and why to create a Facebook business page to maximize your social media B2B marketing reach."

I always enjoy how easy HubSpot makes it to build and use something in social media. They go out of their way to make sure you understand the "why" to use a particular social media site followed with the "how".

Plus this article makes a quick and easy reminder around the dimensions to use for the various photos which are the first thing a person sees when they land on your page. (Which are not easily found within the help files on Facebook.)

The article is a quick read if you are already familiar with Facebook pages and has some hidden gems on building and growing your business pages.

Winning The Facebook Visibility Challenge [infographic]

Winning The Facebook Visibility Challenge [infographic] | Personal Branding Using Scoopit | Scoop.it

Many face the challenge of getting visibility on Facebook in the newsfeed, especially for business pages.  And, maybe that’s why I’m hearing more and more people talking about moving over to Google+.

It’s estimated that only about 10% of the people who follow your Facebook page, actually see your content. So you’re left to spend an unreal amount of time posting pictures, videos, polls and links in the hope that your followers will see and engage with your content. Or, you can advertise your content with promoted posts and offers in an attempt to get attention in the newsfeed.

If you’re committed to marketing your business on Facebook (and with over 1 billion users, who isn’t?), the infographic below may help you choose how to engage for the best return on your investment of time.

Martin (Marty) Smith's insight:

Excellent infographic on something that is a mystery wrapped in an enigma for me still. Facebook's EdgeRank is crazy, but this infogrpahic helps understand how to form Facebook marketing in a way consistent with their (Facebook's) ecosystem.
