"ARABTERM is a multilingual terminology database which provides United Nations nomenclature and special terms in all four official UN languages - Arabic, English, French and Spanish. The database is mainly intended for use by the language and editorial staff of the United Nations to ensure consistent translation of common terms and phrases used within the Organization.

ARABTERM is maintained by the Arabic Translation Service, Translation and Editorial Division, DGAACS. Technical support is provided by IMTU and ITSD."

"Classificazione e caratteristiche dell'acciaio inossidabile

Esistono tre famiglie di acciaio: austenitici, martensitici e ferritici. Vengono individuati con la sigla americana AISI seguita da un numero di tre cifre.
L'acciaio inox è un acciaio a basso tenore di carbonio e contiene cromo in una quantità pari ad almeno il 10%. E' l'aggiunta di cromo che conferisce all'acciaio l'inossidabilità e le uniche proprietà di resistenza alla corrosione.
Il cromo contenuto nell'acciaio produce un film aderente, invisibile e resistente alla corrosione che riveste la superficie. Se inciso o danneggiato, questo film si auto ripara. Le proprietà dell'acciaio inossidabile vengono migliorate aumentando il tenore di cromo ed aggiungendo altri elementi come il molibdeno e il nichel.
Esistono più di 60 tipi diversi di acciaio inox anche se tutti questi tipi possono essere alla fine raggruppati in ..."
