One of the most useful local history books one can read is any in a series done by Robert A. McGinnis on the cemeteries of Knox County. They are in the library and are available for purchase for $25 plus $4 shipping and handling.
"All Over the Page kicks off on January 9 at 6:30 p.m. with a discussion of Bel Canto by Ann Patchett. Multiple copies of the book are available for check out at the Library. The conversation will be facilitated by Ed Francisco, professor and writer-in-residence at Pellissippi State Community College. Refreshments will be served. "
"The Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library Board of Trustees recently appointed Martha Hendricks to the full-time position of Library Director. Martha has previously held the positions interim director and assistant director."
Don Farmer of Milan was appointed chairman of the Tennessee Advisory Council on Libraries, and Mary Carpenter of Martin was appointed vice chairwoman, at a meeting held earlier this month at the Tennessee State Library and Archives.
