Recent U.S. Census figures confirm what we intuitively already know, poverty rates in the U.S. are up. More than three years of economic bad news and high rates of unemployment have economically marginalized millions of Americans.
Increasingly, children grow up with technology. But poor children rarely have routine access to technology such as the Internet, and only experience it at school when it is available, or perhaps at a local public library.
