The annual Rock ‘N Roll 5K Walk/Run is set for 7:30 a.m. at Huntingdon Middle School. A kids mile run starts at 8:30 a.m. The proceeds from the event will be used to purchase new books for the school’s library and to provide funds for the Solomon Lee DeVille Art Scholarship in correspondence with the Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center in Huntingdon. Entrants will be divided into various age divisions with the top three receiving awards. Shirts will be given to entrants who register before April

Grand Ole Opry star Mike Snider will perform in the Family Living Center at the Dyer County Fairgrounds this Saturday, April 18 in a fundraiser to benefit McIver's Grant Public Library. Tickets, $30 each, are still available at the library and may also be purchased at the door on the evening of the event. Tickets include a barbecue supper at 5 p.m., followed by the concert at 6:30 p.m. A silent auction is also planned.
