USA Today Best-Selling Author Pamela Schoenewaldt Spoke at Kingston Book Festival, September 27 at the Kingston Public Library

USA Today Best-Selling Author Pamela Schoenewaldt Spoke at Kingston Book Festival, September 27 at the Kingston Public Library | Tennessee Libraries | Scoop.it

Knoxvillian Pamela Schoenewaldt, the best-selling author of two historical novels When We Were Strangers and Swimming in the Moon was the guest speaker at the Kingston Book Festival held at the Kingston Public Library on Saturday, September 27.

Tennessee Library Association's insight:

The Festival was from 9 am to 3 pm and featured nearly twenty local authors from Roane, Loudon, and Knox Counties. Ms. Schoenewaldt spoke at 10 am. Her topic wason Writing About Family. Ms. Schoenewaldt said, "Families shape, sustain, embrace, and challenge us. Families also fuel much of the world's literature. Writing about family, as a writer (or potential writer) or "just" as a member of the human family, is enormously rewarding. In this relaxed, interactive, and illuminating workshop, guided exercises and prompts help you imaginatively connect with family members here, gone, and unknown. No previous writing experience necessary. Materials: bring something to write with, write on, and the willingness to astonish yourself."

The Kingston Book Festival was sponsored by the Kingston Public Library, the Kingston Public Library Foundation and the Roane Writers Group.  The Festival was open to one and all. There was no cost for authors who wish to display and sell their books or to anyone wishing to attend Ms. Schoenewaldt’s program. The Library held a book sale during the day-long event.
