Cartoonize Yourself: make avatars for online activities | TELT | Scoop.it
Convert Your Photo and Picture into Cartoon effect in one click, directly Online and for Free.

Shona Whyte:

This seems like a trivial detail, but any teacher who has tried to get participants to make profiles which will help you identify them face-to-face (rather than upload photos of their cats, babies, or cars) will see the value.  It takes no time at all to upload a photo, choose your cartoon effect, and save the result.

SlidePresenter - free online multimedia presentations

SlidePresenter - free online multimedia presentations | TELT | Scoop.it

Educational Technology Guy:

"SlidePresenter is an online presentation service. It has a free account that is full-featured and the service allows you to create videos that are synced with PowerPoint presentations. It is similar to Knovio.

SlidePresenter can be used to create presentations for use by educators in the classroom that can then be reviewed by students at a later date for review or reinforcement or to create training sessions that people can view on their own time. Students can also use it for class projects.

The free account limits videos to 15 min (similar to most of these services) but that is a good way to make sure your presentation is focused and concise. Each presentation can be tagged, embedded in other sites, and easily shared via social media."

I'm hugely excited by this site. Make collaborative videos in your web browser with this amazing site. Just upload your images, videos and audio and invite others users to edit your project with you. As the files are stored online your students can access the project from home or at school.

The videos do not have watermarks and they can be easily embedded into your site or blog.

Clip Any Web Page, Text or Link and Organize Into Collections with Evernote WebClipper | TELT | Scoop.it

Shona Whyte:

Worth a look for language teachers - collect and share resources for teaching, or send students out on project work.

Robin Good: If you need to do research on a specific topic or need to easily collect and organize notes, web clippings and other content from the web into shareable "public" collections, you may want to consider Evernote (and in particular its Chrome extension and its Web Clipper feature).

Den Nicholson, has a short but useful tutorial just on this, with a couple of short video clips that can give you immediately an idea of whether Evernote could be a good addition to your curator's toolkit.

Useful. 7/10
