Word Family Framework: CER levels for English vocabulary

Word Family Framework: CER levels for English vocabulary | TELT | Scoop.it

Shona Whyte:

Here is a how-to guide and some background on the Word Family Framework (WFF), a searchable resource of 22 000 words developed by Richard West to help "institutions, teachers and learners to construct target vocabularies or individual learning, syllabus and lesson planning, materials design and exam preparation" with respect to the Common European Reference (CER) framework.

I admit to some scepticism regarding both word lists and the CER, but I'm sure the post will be relevant to many EFL/ESL teachers.
