At MIT, Dr. Paola Rebusco has devised an appealing course, Speak Italian with Your Mouth Full, where she teaches students how to speak Italian and cook Italian food. Foods include espresso, risotto, homemade pizza, bruschetta and biscotti.

Authentic input, real-life tasks worth doing if you're not trying to learn a language, focus on form in meaningful context.  What's not to like?
