Mr. Mxyzptlk Is Coming to Supergirl

Mr. Mxyzptlk Is Coming to Supergirl | FanAboutTown | Scoop.it

Hang onto your (tiny, purple) hats: Famed Superman villain Mr. Mxyzptlk is coming to Supergirl on The CW in 2017.The character will appear in two episodes. No official character bio has been released, and no actor has been cast, but The CW confirmed Mxyzptlk's appearance for ComicBook.com.

Mr. Mxyzptlk is a powerful "fifth-dimensional imp" whose battles with the Man of Steel are defined by a sense of fun and mischief more than malice -- but that doesn't mean there won't be destruction when he comes to town. Mxyzptlk's idea of a good time is to make a building come to life and start walking around town, crushing everything in its wake while it throws a temper tantrum.

Lynda Carter Was Almost In CW Superhero Crossover - Heroic Hollywood

Lynda Carter Was Almost In CW Superhero Crossover - Heroic Hollywood | FanAboutTown | Scoop.it

Marc Guggenheim reveals that Supergirl's Lynda Carter was almost in the 4-show crossover event that is currently happening this week on The CW.

The 4-show crossover between Supergirl, The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow is currently happening this week on The CW, with Part 3 set to air later tonight. However, did you know that the crossover almost had Lynda Carter in it? In a new interview with Comicbook.com, Marc Guggenheim revealed that Carter, best known as TV’s Wonder Woman, was almost written into the crossover as the Vice President of Earth-1. “We did, actually. In the first draft of the script, she was the vice president who becomes the President, and we got a note from the studio which we think was pretty fair, which was that it was a bit too confusing. You get into the parallel Earths of it all but she’s not the President on our Earth but the Vice President. In the midst of time travel and aliens, it was just one sci-fi problem too much.” On Supergirl, she is playing the President of Earth-38, Olivia Marsdin who is actually an alien in disguise. While it hasn’t been revealed yet what alien race she is, Marsdin will be appearing multpile times in the second season so hopefully answers will be given to us soon enough.

For almost 100 episodes over the course of five seasons, Arrow has given fans a lot of laughs, heartbreak, and overall, entertainment. Aquaman Has Been Delayed, Here’s When It Will Hit Theaters - CINEMABLEND | FanAboutTown | Scoop.it

For a long time, DC's King of the Seven Seas was expected to go on his solo adventure on July 27, 2018, but that's no longer the case. Here's when it will now hit theaters.

The news just dropped (via Deadline) that Aquaman will swim into theaters on October 5, 2018, delaying the movie's release by a little over two months. Whether that means that another DC movie will take Aquaman's original July release date or if they have just exited that spot entirely is unclear.

How ARROW’s 100th Episode Will Change the Show | Nerdist

How ARROW’s 100th Episode Will Change the Show | Nerdist | FanAboutTown | Scoop.it
As if the big DC Comics four-show, three-part crossover event weren’t a big enough endeavor for all of The CW’s superhero shows, it also happens to be Arrow‘s 100th episode. So to call the crossover a major turning point for the one show that kickstarted the “Arrow-verse” of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow would be a massive understatement. And that’s why creator/executive producer Greg Berlanti wanted to make sure that the episode was more than merely one third of the crossover story.

'Arrow' season 2, episode 12 'Tremors': The Arrow trains Roy

'Arrow' season 2, episode 12 'Tremors': The Arrow trains Roy | FanAboutTown | Scoop.it
It looks like we'll be seeing some superpowers in Arrow season 2, episode 12 "Tremors," as the Arrow starts training Roy in managing his new strength.

Since being injected with mirakuru, Roy has struggled with keeping his newfound powers from his friends. He finally confided in Sin and the two set out to do some of their own vigilante-ing, but Roy lost control and nearly beat a serial killer to death. Hearing about Roy’s struggles from Thea, Oliver — as the Arrow — offered to train Roy.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Blood managed to divert all suspicion off of him by framing Officer Daly as the man in the skull mask. The scheme also discredited Laurel as it brought her addiction issues to light. However, Blood is on thin ice with Slade. Read our recap of last week’s episode, “Blind Spot,” here."
