Any way we can bring in technology into the classroom to improve learning can only be a good thing. Take for instance Twitter and YouTube. Valueable lessons and strategies can be found using these sites which can only be beneficial for our students, if used wisely I must add.

Jacinta Ferlazzo's curator insight, May 29, 10:09 PM

I especially like the idea of tweeting as a character from history! Not only is it enjoyable, but it encourages the students to quite literally put themselves in their shoes and evaluate their decisions, trials and tribulations on a much more personal level.

What the flip? Exploring technologies to support a flipped classroom | tefl methods | Scoop.it
A flipped classroom is one where the lectures become the homework and the traditional homework tasks take place in the lesson time. This enables students to attend sessions with an understanding of the subject and to conceptualise and build upon it through doing exercises in class, with you, as the tutor, on hand to answer questions and explore the topic in more detail

Google Docs adds automatic outline feature

Google Docs adds automatic outline feature | tefl methods | Scoop.it

I opened up Google Docs this morning to start my daily labor to find an outline panel on the left side of my document. It had recognized the bold headers in my document and used them to create an outline that I could use to jump to different parts of my document without needing to scroll. It's a convenient time saver for browsing through lengthy documents. If Google Docs doesn't offer this new feature upon your next visit, you can enable it by going to Tools > Document outline. The Outline panel sits to the left of your document and lets you jump to different spots with a single click.
