Kendyl LeGrand's curator insight, April 7, 2014 8:48 PM

"Sex Survey Points to Teenagers Who Are Wise." Article. The Sydney Morning Herald, 30 Aug. 2009. Web 2 April 2014.

In the Journal of Sexual Medicine, Americans took a survey on the usage of condoms. This survey showed that American's used commons more than the thinkable usage. This proves how condoms are used more than we think. Teenagers are practicing safe sex more often these days. 79% of the boys who took the survey are practicing safe sex with a condom, that includes ages 14-17. Also in this survey, it showed that African American and Hispanic men use condoms more often then White men. Researches suggest that AIDS and other diseases are going to be spread more in White population. When a person decides to not wear a condom, they aren't just protecting themselves from having a child, they are also protecting themselves from disease. Practicing safe sex with a partner can help with your health as much as theirs. All races should practice the safety of sexual activity.
