How Facebook Handles Memes

How Facebook Handles Memes | technology memes | Scoop.it
A few months ago, Facebook announced they would be punishing “meme content.” There was a lot of concern on how Facebook would actually enforce this.

Darrin Donahoo's insight:

People post plenty of Memes each day on facebook. Some of the content is borderline. Facebook announced they would be punishing the content. This is important because of the millions and millions of teens on the social media. Yes there should be some kind of limits put on the content unless there is a adult category so somehow tennager can't get into it.

Darrin Donahoo's insight:

Who invented the nail clipper is still having a big question mark. It is still unknown that who was the first inventor, but the first United States patent for an improvement and innovation in a finger-nail clipper found to be in 1875 by Valentine Fogerty. Other achievement for upgrading in finger-nail clippers are in 1876, William C. Edge, and, in 1878, John H. Hollman.

These researches imply that nail clippers were already existed before 1870s. Researches moved on and most of the people claimed for the innovation and improvement of it. Later in times around 1906, the L.T. Snow Company manufactured nail cutters.  Again in 1908 (or 1911), the King Klip Company of New York were the manufacturers of nail cutters.

In 1947, William E. Bassett developed the most innovative and improved “Trim”-brand nail clipper, the first made using modern manufacturing methods.
Presently Khlip nail cutters are in used by the people. It is a high grooming brad, manufactured in 2009 with high focus on quality and user friendly.

Sick of Stock Photos? Use Memes to Liven Up Your Content. - Business 2 Community

Sick of Stock Photos? Use Memes to Liven Up Your Content. - Business 2 Community | technology memes | Scoop.it

...So even if you don’t “do” Pinterest or Instagram, your content needs to have some kind of visual element if it’s going to rack up likes and shares. This is, of course, great news if you’re naturally creative with visuals…

But if you’re like me, it means you’re likely to be stuck with stock photography. As Seinfeld would say, “not that there’s anything wrong with that,” but when you pull up “happy-woman-at-computer.jpg” for the umpteetnth time, you start looking around for something with a little more pizazz.

Enter the meme. If you’ve never heard of memes (pronounced meemz), I guarantee you’ve seen at least one. They’re those funny images you see all over Facebook, Twitter and elsewhere on the inter-tubes with different messaging embedded. One of my favorites is the Boromir ”One Does Not Simply …” image from Lord of the Rings that I’ve included above. Look familiar?

The good news is that you don’t need Photoshop to create and share your very own memes—just an Internet connection. There are several (free) meme creation websites out there; I’m partial to memegenerator.net, which is super-easy to use...

Good tip for better visual marketing and the suggestion of the meme generator tools is a good one. You too can create your own memes but do it judiciously or you'll just look silly and certainly not get results.
