For those who are doing audio and video production, there's a need for editing these audios and videos and tools on the market to get the job done affordably.
Should come in handy as I will be dipping my toes (finally!!) into screencasting this term. I like that it is advising on one tool that I have used a few times already (Audacity) and the another that I is already on my short list of screencasting software for this term.

Some of the largest online course providers say there will be big changes to their products in 2014.
Listen to the talk show on MOOCs -- an interesting piece to listen or read!
So this seems to be a good point to look not just at 2014, but where we might be going five to ten years from now, and in doing this, I want to include choice or human decision-making as well as technological determinism. In other words, what kind of online learning do I expect in the future, given what I know so far?
Tony Bates looks beyond 2014 and thinks about online learning in 2020!
Higher Education Academy The pervasive and growing role that technology plays in our daily lives, in our communications, and in our learning and teaching, is well known, around us in the media almost every day. And the issues technology presents to the Higher Education community with regard to challenges to address and potential enhancements to embrace, are immense
Helps you think about:What role can technology play with respect to assessment feedback? How can we harness its potential to enhance the practice and professional interaction with students?
a simple infographic that helps in reshaping and building education strategy!
Interesting - 21st education most powerful transformational concepts explored - not sure it's quite so straightforward as there being only a summary of seven (what about the trend from public to private education, what about competition and marketisation?), but it's a useful start.
Educación en el Siglo XXI.
Love the visual representation of the shifts. They are, themselves, indicative of a shift. Wonder if there is a poster or .pdf of this. would be great to have as a reminder right next to my desk. 5 and 6, in particular, speak to Discovery Education's mission with STEM.

RawShorts is the fastest, easiest, and most cost-effective solution for producing professional-looking explainer videos, animated presentations, demo & marketing videos for business.
Free resources are always good for schools and libraries. This doesn't look as slick as Animoto, but would be great for short explainer video projects that teachers, librarians and even students could create. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks fairly easy.
The culmination of my quest for more powerful learning grounded in theory and research came when recently I conducted an experiment in pushing constructionism into the digital age.
a very informative article!
The posting below looks at some particular techniques for enhancing the flipped classroom model for teaching and learning. It is by Marilla Svinicki, University of Texas at Austin
Like the way the article summarizes --- "The principles are old and valuable, but they haven't been usable because of constraints of time and effort on the parts of both students and teacher. It is the possibility of implementing these key principles that is new, and often enabled by technology's ability to capture their essence."

Throughout the following three years, students will be required to move to Minerva residence halls in other cities. "Experiential learning is all about interacting with the world around you," Minerva Project Chairman Ben Nelson said."
