Resources for Using iPads in Grades K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 by Monica Burns - Edutopia | Technology in Education: Resources for Teachers | Scoop.it

Edutopia is one of my favourite web sites. It has recently run a series written by Monica Burns aka @ClassTechTips featuring Resources for Using iPads across multiple grade levels. Though I've featured them each individually here on iPads in Education I thought it might be useful to post all of the series in one collection.

Thomas Brennan's insight:

Twitter is a social media outlet, however this outlet can be a great resource for teachers if you know how to use it! Hash-tagging is a way of categorising a topic. For example, if I was discussing Mathematics for my classroom, some hash-tags could include: #Mathematics #Grade6 #Education. These would help other interested in the same topic find my Twitter account, thus extending personal learning and teaching networks. The Scooped resource shows the most popular and best education Twitter hash-tags that would link those interested into better quality discussions.

Thomas Brennan's insight:
The following resource outlines some potential uses for the iPad in the classroom. The iPad is an ever growing resource in today's society and in our education system. The last few classrooms I have visited had them and more and more classrooms are utilising these digital technologies. This is a good article to teach students the potential benefits of using iPads. The depth of knowledge needed aligns with more upper primary classes with some overlap to early primary. A good resource for teachers using iPads in the classroom.
