Among the things the United Kingdom has given the world are:

the Dyson vacuum cleaner; Walker's Chips; Wedgwood Pottery; Cat's Eyes (reflective road markers); The ATM; The Cambridge Satchel Company; Television; Themos Bottle; The chocolate bar; and the World-Wide Web.  Some of these products are old, such as Wedgwood Pottery (1759), while others, such as the Dyson vacuum cleaner (1993) are fairly new.  Interesting article.  Aloha, Russ.
