Share As Image

Share As Image (previously called Pin A Quote) is a service that allows users to highlight text on the Internet and share it in the form of an image.

Available in free and Pro versions, Share As Image is a bookmarklet that can be installed on any browser.

The free version is very basic, offering a single font and no choice of colour. The Pro version, on the other hand, provides users with a range of colours as well as font types and sizes.

Once created, users can share the image on Pinterest, Facebook or Twitter.

As with most images on the web, a right-click allows viewers to copy and/or save the resulting image.

20+ Tools to Create Your Own Infographics

20+ Tools to Create Your Own Infographics | Technology for school | Scoop.it

A picture is worth a thousand words – based on this, infographics would carry hundreds of thousands of words, yet if you let a reader choose between a full-length 1000-word article and an infographic that needs a few scroll-downs, they’d probably  prefer absorbing information straight from the infographic.

This post highlights these tools...

- What About Me?

- Vizualize.me;

- Piktochart;

- Easel.ly;

- Visual.ly;

- Infogr.am;

- Many Eyes;

- Venngage;

- iCharts;

- Dipity;

- TimelineJS;

- StatSilk;

- InFoto Free;

- Photo Stats;

- ChartsBin;

- Tableau Public;

- Creately;

- Gliffy;

- SIMILE;

- Tagxedo;

- Wordle.

How do you choose? Know what you want to do then choose the tool that will meet your requirements.

P2PU

P2PU | Technology for school | Scoop.it
Learning for everyone, by everyone, about almost anything.

P2PU stands for: peer to peer university.

P2PU‘s model is based on their idea is that taking an online course should be more like learning on the job than taking a traditional class.

This approach encourages people to work together on projects and to assess each other’s work with constructive feedback.

Users can also design courses with help from P2PU. Course design is broken down into discrete steps and course content is vetted by peer users and P2PU staff.

Courses are hands-on and varied.

Not all of the courses focus on new technologies.
