In this TEDx talk Hoffman explains that humans enjoy robots that make mistakes more than robots that are perfect and scripted. We see the development of his robots to something that seems like I would enjoy having in my own home playing my iPhone/iPod music. Really cool.

Europe is developing a robot which will soon scout the planet Mars. If this is successful it will greatly increase our knowledge of the planet that next door to us. Only then would they be able to tell if that planet has any useful resources our planet is in need of.

It is exciting that in this modern world we are introducing new technology such as robots to assist us in so many ways. Right now we are improving that technology and are getting more advanced. It might be good cause in the future for the new generations to grow up with this new technology.

Are robots welcome in our homes? A qualitative study done at EPFL has revealed some interesting possibilities. Only one out of three households thinks automatic vacuum cleaners are worth the investment.

Some many not like the idea of robots taking over household chores. In this text, families are given robot vacuum cleaners and only three out of the nine families liked this robot. This says that most families will not welcome the new domestic robots that will be later introduced into the modern world. There will be a major shift in the world when the time comes.
